A fast-growing, but short-lived, evergreen tree or a large shrub, up to 10 m in height and 1.5 m in girth, with trunk ringed with stipular scars. Bark smooth, white or bluish green to greenish brown; leaves obliquely ovate-oblong or oblong-lanceolate; flowers monoecious, minute, whitish or greenish: male in compact cymes and female in lax cymes; drupes 0.4 cm long, glabrous, black when ripe. |
