An annual herb, 3-5 ft. high, with alternate, hastate, acute leaves,
1-3 in. long; flowers in axillary or terminal cymes, pinkish white, fragrant, dimorphic and highly self-sterile; fruit a 3-cornered achene, 0.2-0.4 in. long with keeled edges, varying in colour from silvery grey to brown or black. |
