A medium-sized to large deciduous tree with a rounded crown. Bark smooth, greyish, exfoliating in irregular flakes; leaves oblong-lanceolate or ellpitic; flowers in large panicles, mauve to purple; capsule ellipsoid or sub-globose; seeds pale brown. |
