Description

An annual creeper growing to 0.15m. Flowers are monoecious and are pollinated by insects; stalk reddish and flowers reddish-yellow in colour.

Medicinal Use

A decoction of whole plant is used for treating jaundice, dysentery, enteritis,hematochezia, hematuria, metrorrhagia and menorrhagia. It is used topically for impetigo, scabies, various kinds of carbuncles, boils, poisonous snake bites and traumatic bleeding.
