Plants with a thin solid creeping rhizomes to 20 cm in length. Stems single, straight, from 75 to 120 cm tall, grey short anthers. Leaves simple, linear, deeply divided, top-crowded spot gland. Inflorescence narrow paniculate. Flowers, regional. |

Pharmacology
Medicinal Use |

The dried leaves are used in the treatment of sterility, functional bleeding of the uterus, dysmenorrhoea, excessive menstrual discharge, coughs and asthma. A volatile oil extracted from the plant is sprayed on the throat for treating bronchitis and asthma. |
