A tree 8-15 m high, with a spreading crown. Leaves have 4-15 pairs of pinnae, each with 8-20 pairs of leaflets 8-30 x 3.5-10 mm and rounded or emarginate at apex. Flowers are fragrant have canary-yellow petals 1-2 cm long, with frilly margins. Fruits are reddish brown, 5-11.5 cm long and 2-2.7 cm broad, the valves at length splitting lengthwise through the middle. Seeds oblong, 10- 12 mm x 5 mm, flattened. |
