A biennial herb, growing up to 60 cm in height. Bulb is ellipsoid, up to 4 cm x 1.5 cm. Leaves are 3-4(-5), D-shaped or nearly triangular in transverse section, 3-5-ridged. Scape is terete and solid. Inflorescence with up to 30 flowers, without bulbils. Flowers with purplish tepals, stamens and style much longer than tepals. |
