In dysentery, reducing fever, malarial fever, stomachache and as an antiseptic (bark); astringent (root); to treat sores (juice of bark).

For ague in children, to kill dermatophytes causing `athletes foot' (leaf).A decoction of roots and leaves is used in the treatment of epidemic mumps, sore throat, erysipelas and fever-caused rashes.

Measles (root decoction); in dysentery and with other plants for unconsciousness after child birth (stem bark); in fever due to sunstroke and malaria (leaves)

In dysentery, asthma, bronchitis, reducing fever, as a vermifuge and brain tonic, febrifuge, useful in internal haemorrhages, malarial fever, as blood purifier (decoction), in syphilis and scrofula.

Momordica charantia

In jaundice and as a laxative (leaf); diabetes. rheumatism and snakebite (fruit), diabetes mellitus, eczema, fat loss, fever (malarial), gout, hydrophobia, hyperglycemia, kidney (stone), leprosy, leucorrhea, liver, piles, pneumonia, psoriasis, rheumatism, scabies and skin diseases. Hot water extract of dried root is taken orally to induce abortion.

Semecarpus anacardium

To treat skin diseases, vitiligo, piles, guineaworm, splenomegaly, scrofula, rheumatism, as depilatory, for regaining normal colour, as rejuvinative, as aphrodisiac, alopecia, worms, poisoning, malarial fever.

Strobilanthes cusia

For the treatment of ague (leaves); in the treatment of epidemic mumps, sore throat, erysipelas and fever-caused rashes (decoction of roots and leaves)

Tylophora indica

In rheumatism, asthma, whooping cough, bronchitis and dysentery (root); in hydrophobia (leaf and root). Used for treating whooping cough, for reducing lochia, malarial fever, jaundice. They are used to treat diarrhoea and dysentery.
